HUG Support Is Going Global!

As of the 7th December 2021, HUG is officially a member of the International Stillbirth Alliance’s Parent Voices Initiative, which is its global registry of stillbirth support organisations and individuals.

We aim to contribute to the ISA’s goals by helping bereaved families through tailored stillbirth, miscarriage and newborn death support. Our work takes many forms, from our free group counselling sessions and signposting to professional healthcare, to hospital care packages and social events which promote positive mental wellbeing.

The ISA’s mission is to raise awareness and promote global collaboration for the prevention of stillbirth and newborn death, and provision of appropriate respectful care for all those affected.

Local HUG Events

From our HUG singers group, to our outdoor cinema screening at Newark Castle, to seeing buildings and monuments lit up in blue and pink in honour of Baby Loss Awareness week each year, there are loads of events to get involved with! We hope to host more now that Covid-19 restrictions are easing. Get in touch if you’d like to find out more about our upcoming events.

A Delicious HUG Cookbook

Following the sell out success of his cookbooks, Kwoklyn Wan is working with HUG on a collection of your favourite ‘go to’ recipes. To promote the importance of looking after yourself in times of grief, we are putting this book together just for you. Want to get involved? Email your favourite recipe to info@helpusgrieve.co.uk and your recipe may appear in A Delicious HUG cookbook.

Community Awards

We’re so thankful to our supporters and volunteers who have united to bring more awareness to pregnancy loss and engaging the community through positive mental well-being. Without their dedication and support we wouldn’t be where we are today. We’ve even managed to win various community awards! Take a look.
